Our daughter has been a stay at home mom for the past 10+ years. Prior to having 3 beautiful children within 4 1/2 years, she had a good job. Her husband has handled all the finances and has withheld all money for the past 2 years, having her answer to him and produce receipts for everything when he gave her cash for groceries. He has been in complete control of everything and has now filed for divorce and is trying to sue for custody, to avoid child support. She is searching for a job as an insurance adjuster (her previous career). She is living with us (her retired parents). Her legal bills are mounting. We went into debt to cover her attorney’s initial retainer and if we have to, we’ll go farther into debt to help our grandchildren avoid the fate of living with their verbally abusive and manipulative father. She needs to get a good job, setup a home for herself and the children as well as pay the legal fees. The custody case and divorce is still all pending so she can’t share details. Any monetary assistance would be greatly appreciated.
