My name is Omar Dixon, Jr, I am 12 years old and I am a rising 7th grader. I recently received an acceptance letter to a private school, The Walker School in Marietta, GA through a program called A Better Chance.
I was thrilled that I was accepted into this school, as my family and I have been praying for acceptance throughout the application process. However, we are unable to attend next year due to the large amount of tuition. The annual tuition I $22,770.00, but they offered us financial aid. However, the Walker School ran out of financial aid and was only able to offer us $13,000.00, which means we have to pay $9,000.00 which my parent are unable to afford.
Therefore, my dream would be that I would receive an acceptable amount of financial aid, preferably, $18,000.00 or higher so I am able to attend the Walker School.
My desire is to become an Cardiologist Physician, and I believe the environment at the Walker School will provide me the opportunities to achieve my academic goal. I believe that I can benefit the school academically and athletically and will make a positive impact on their school. I have seen the school’s system in first person and I am in love with it. I believe that Walker will further increase my love and interest in going to school and provide to a safe environment.
