My name is Christopher Walker and I am a recent graduate of a local community college. I am pursing my goal to become a Physical Therapist and provide some much needed service in Africa. Although I was bullied and told on many occasions that I was not going to make it this far, prayer,persistence and faith helped me. The odds were greatly stacked against me being raised without a father(deceased) since the age of 2 1/2 years old. My mother and I moved in with a family member 9 months ago. A couple of months later I was diagnosed with a rare medical condition that ultimately required me to have surgery. Although my pain level remained between 8 to 10 with the possibility of dialysis, I remained in school. While going to check on an elderly relative a month later, I found her deceased. I was able to complete both semesters and graduate with an Associate’s degree. My dream is to transfer to the college that best fits my unique learning style during the Fall of 2017 with enough money to cover all of my expenses. I received a bill yesterday stating my balance is $8607.00 after financial aid and a loan that is due by August 9th. Please help make my dream come true. Thanking you in advance for your help.
